PhD in History and Philosophy (Histoire et civilisations), École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (Paris), René Ceceña is currently a full-time Senior Lecturer at the School of Humanities (Facultad de Filosofía y Letras) of the UNAM. He is also member of the National Research System of Conacyt (Mexico) and associated fellow (correspondant) of the Alexandre-Koyré Centre for the History of Sciences and Technologies (France). His research interests are the historical epistemology of the notion of space in West thought, the transmission and interpretation of ancient Greek thought (Philosophy, History, Geography, Physics, Astronomy) during the fifteenth and seventeenth centuries, the epistemological relations between history and rationality, and methodology in the Humanities.
